When you contact Happy Helpers - Celeste will take a detailed brief. Assessing all your needs from child care through to cooking, and what level of housekeeping you need.
We need to establish whether it is a live-in or live-out position, and what your personal requirements are.
Based on the brief, I will supply a short list of candidate profiles, which will give you a clearer idea of who is available, the skill level, the experience and the salary range.
On your side, you go through the candidate profiles and select candidates who you would like to interview, and confirm with me the details of the interview - time/date and location.
I set up the interviews and supply you detailed information on each candidate.
The candidates meet with you, and you have an opportunity to chat to them, and find the right match for you.
Profiles and CVs are important, but much of the process comes down to a "click" that occurs between the potential candidate and you the employer.
The process is personal to every mom (and dad), and each of us looks for a different set of skills, and personality type in someone who will work in our home and with our family.
The right nanny for one family may not be the right nanny for another family - and that is why we interview such a broad range, and present you with a range of possible candidates.
We tailor our approach around what you need.
You will not be expected to fill in a form -- we would rather talk to you and understand what is unique to your situation and whether we can assist you.
I will assist you should you require the candidate to undergo further training, or additional reference checking, criminal checks or a polygraph test.
The process usually follows the following path:
Candidate Profiles > Short List > CV Supply > Interview Shortlist > Interviews > Short List and Trial with Shortlisted Candidates > Offer of Employment > Commence Employment
The process time line is different for each client depending on their personal situation.
I find on average this process takes 2 - 6 weeks to complete.
Allow at least 4 weeks to give yourself time to recruit and trial the right person.
We work with you - if you need someone to start with you within a week, we will do our best to assist - if you need someone to start in a months time, again we will do our best to assist.
